A 5x3 grid gives the Solaris Game Cabinet's 43-inch portrait screen fifteen symbol cells: five reels across, three rows down. That is six more cells than a 3x3 game, which leaves room for more paylines across the board and bigger scatter and bonus features. For the player it reads as a wider, busier game with more ways to line up a win.
For the operator, the wider grid changes nothing on the floor: it runs on the same skill game machines, the same 43-inch screen and the same footprint as a 3x3 skill games title.
